We are writing to you today as members of the Greater Boston community to express our sincere appreciation for National Development's recent meeting with Bearing Witness organizers. Your willingness to engage in direct dialogue reflects the kind of civic partnership that strengthens our communities, and we are grateful for the time and attention you gave to our concerns.
We were especially encouraged by the spirit expressed in your response, that "we respect the right of community members to peacefully express their views." This commitment to community involvement means a great deal to the faith leaders, nonprofit organizers, and neighbors who have participated in peaceful vigils at District Ave.
We also want to express our support for the idea that practical issues around traffic and parking at District Ave can be addressed through direct communication between your team and protest organizers. The recent snow shoveling brigade is a perfect example of this kind of cooperative problem-solving in action — community members stepping up to address a shared concern through direct contact rather than conflict. We believe this model of open communication can continue to resolve day-to-day logistics as they arise.
National Development has long been recognized as a firm that prioritizes social impact and community partnership. We look forward to continuing this constructive relationship and working together to ensure that District Ave remains a place where both commerce and civic engagement can thrive.
Thank you again for your openness and good faith.
Sincerely,
